Are you interested in a challenging and responsible role where you actively work with operational reliability and maintenance together with your team?
SSAB is facing major changes as we aim to become the world's first fossil-free steel company. As a step towards this, production in Oxelösund will transition from ore-based to scrap-based steelmaking. This is a challenge that involves continuously improving quality, productivity, and availability in the lines.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production, and by around 2030, we will be virtually fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thereby contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
About the position
The role involves personnel responsibility for about 30 employees who prepare, plan, and perform electrical maintenance in Metallurgy and electrical/mechanical maintenance on cranes. Among other things, we work with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements in electrical and mechanical areas. As Section Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing the operations to achieve goals regarding work environment, quality, and delivery reliability, as well as for planning maintenance work and purchasing goods and services. You are also a member of the Management Group for Metallurgy's maintenance, where you are expected to participate and contribute your knowledge.

- Collaborate inside and outside the organization at all levels.
- Ensure operations in the section to achieve goals for volume and adherence to plans.
- Drive and follow up that everyone in the team works according to established working methods.
About you
- You need to have documented competence in the electrical field and several years of leadership experience, with a clear structure to coach and lead a team forward.
- It is important to convey strategy through clear goal images to engage the group.
- In the role, you need to handle administrative tasks, coordinate between different contacts, and take proactive initiatives.
- We are looking for someone who is confident as a person, who dares to make decisions, and who can lead by good example.
